Those who have phobic disorder usually don’t go in for treatment. Some companies have made it affordable and to help patients with this disorder. Those who are actually in the treatment program go through therapy and are prescribed medication. Medication reduces symptoms so patients are encouraged to take it. Therapy can be up to $100 an hour and medication is expensive for those who do not have health insurance. Depending on your income, some treatments are federally funded for certain health cares.

People with phobic disorders imagine that harm will come to them even if they are not in a dangerous situation. For example, Johnny Depp has coulrophobia, the fear of clowns. He once said in an interview: "Something about the painted face, the fake smile. There always seemed to be a darkness lurking just under the surface, a potential for real evil." The reason he's afraid of clowns is because he associates them with darkness and evil.
