Digital Storytelling

Ever since i was diagnoised with Type 1 Diabetes, i was never affraid of needles or IV's. I was very independent of my shots and supllies since i was 9 years old. My dream as a kid was to become a nurse, just like my cousin. But ever since i went to the lab (every 3 months) to get blood work done, i always wanted to become one of them. Since i have bad veins they always missed it so i want to become a good phlebotomist and never miss a vein.

Phlebotomy is the act of drawing or removing blood from the circulatory system through an incision or puncture in order to obtain a sample for analysis or diagnosis.

Why do I want to become a phlebotomist

~It takes at least 40 hours of classroom instruction, 100 hours of clinical training and at least 100 unaided skin punctures and venipunctures

After i get my phlebotomy liscense, i want to work at a hospital or a lab, especailly in the ER. If I like phlebotomy i will stay with it, but if i get bored then i want to do medical lab, or becoming an RN (registered nurse).
