Digital Storytelling
EFL leaners often have trouble getting motivated to learn English. They don't see how it's relevant to their lives.I want to show my students how learning English will broaden their horizons.I also want to instill a love of the language. To do this, I think you have to instill a love of the culture - getting them excited about the language that culture speaks through its movies, songs, TV shows, books and other artworks.

My role as an ESL teacher
Find a reason to know and love the language.Come prepared to learn and participate.Treat others the way you want to be treated.
Role of my students
"Civilization is in a race between education and catastrophe." - H.G. WellsI consider this a huge responsibility. What kind of people will I be sending out into the world? I want them to be prepared and productive citizens of the world.
Because cultural background is such a huge factor in 2nd language acquisition, I expect to have LOTS of interaction with parents and the communities my students come from. I believe we're all in this together! The school needs to provide a safe, open and stimulating learning environment.
