It's 1980 and Marjane is now required to wear a veil to school because of the Islamic Revolution. She can no longer go to school with the boys. She must attend an all girls school. Her parents participated in demonstrations and she read books about Marx and Descartes. Marjane grew up in Iran during the Islamic Revolution. This is her story. She shares her fears of losing her family due to demonstrations. She shares her dreams. But what will become of her family? Will they leave Iran? Will they stay?
