Pegasus, the Flame of Olympus

Pegasus the Flame of OlympusBy: Kate O'Hearn

When Pegasus crashes into the roof of Emily’s Manhattan apartment, Emily’s life changes forever. Emily is thrust into a battle between Roman gods and a terrifying race of monsters, called Nirads. She must join forces with a young Roman thief, the goddess Diana, and a boy named Joel in order to return Pegasus to Olympus and save the gods. Along the way, the group will fight monsters, run from a government agency that wants to dissect Pegasus, and even fly over the Manhattan skyline. These adventures are all part of the quest to save Olympus before the Olympic flame burns out. If the Olympic flame burns out, Olympus will be destroyed.

The theme of this story is to expect the unexpected, because strange events can happen. Emily’s ability to remain calm helped her to guide Pegasus back to Olympus.

The main characters in this book are Emily, Joel, Diana, Paelen, and Pegasus. The main character Emily and Joel are humans; Diana and Paelen are gods; and Pegasus is a winged horse from Olympus.

The setting of the story is in Manhattan, New York City, New York, and the god temple, Olympus during modern times.

I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading about adventure, warfare, and stories with gory details. The story is fast paced and full of suspense; the reader will not be able to put this book down until it is done.
