Pediatricians are doctors who specialize in the care of young people, from newborns to adolescents.

Most pediatricians earn between $100,000 and $200,000 a year. Those who have large, successful practices and many years of experience, or who work their way into senior positions in large hospitals, can make well over $250,000 a yearposter yourself

To become a pediatrician you will need to attend medical school and earn a Doctor of Medicine degree (MD). Most medical schools require applicants to have at least 3 years of undergraduate college education, including the completion of several key science courses.

Like other doctors, pediatricians often work very long hours, especially at the beginning of their careers. Most average between 9 and 12 hours a day, 45 to 60 hours a week.
