Pearl Harbor

December 7th, 1941 7:55am to 9:45am

The Japaneese attacked Pearl Harbor without warning. The attack lasted about 110 minuets (about 2 hours) from 7:55a.m to 9:45a.m. The Japaneese decided to come in the morning on a Sunday because, people would be more relaxed and less alert and so the servicemen would'nt expect it. Japan came in 2 waves. On the first wave they suprised the Americans and headed strait toward the Air Stations, so that they could knock out all the air planes before the Americas would be able to strike back. The second wave they had already suprised them so they knocked out the ships. The waves were aproximently 45 minuets apart. After The Americans were left with destruction and nothing.

Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto, President Franklin Roosevelt, Japaneese Navy and American Navy.

What?

The U.S. prohibited supplies including, steel, scrap, iorn and oil from Japan, due to Japan's take over Northern France and indochina. The U.S, Britan and The Netherlands, froze Japan's assets which prevented Japan from buying oil. Which would in time cripple it's Army, Navy and Airforce compleatly useless.

Why?

The event was important because, now we can learn from our mistakes. This impacked us because it's a very sad and tragic moment so we won't hopefully follow in their footsteps.

we could've punished them differently. With talking it through and not starting this whole war. insted of jumping right into it. Japan, could've talked it through also but their logic was to just kill us first and cause a huge war. they coulve done something like not rying to take power of those because its not theirs and you cant do that because sometime or other we're gonna catch you!

What we could've done differently.
