Peanut Allergy

DEFINITION:Peanut allergy is a severe, usually rapid, reaction to the ingestion of peanuts

Treatment:There is no cure for peanut allergy and no therapies that eliminate or reduce the severity of peanut allergy. For an anaphylactic reaction, an emergency injection of epinephrine and a trip to the emergency room are necessary.

CONDITIONS:The person can recieve hives, digestions discomfort, or even inflammation of the throat to cause air way blockage.

Prevention:The only way to prevent a reaction is to avoid peanuts and peanut proteins altogether. You should also carry an epi-pen for sever cases.
