Patterson MT

I was named after the black journalist and anti-slavery leader, Frederick Douglass.

He was also the founder of The United Negro Collage Fund in 1944.

He was the founder of the school of veterinary medicine at Tuskegee in 1944.

Frederick Patterson

He was the president of Tuskegee Normal and Industrial Institute from1935 to 1953.The present day name is Tuskegee University.
