I think I will explore California .

Walker was sponsored by Benjamin Bonneville from the United States. He went on one expedition and was sent to find furs and explore the Great Salt Lake, and to find a trail to the Pacific Ocean. He explored Northern California, and a little bit of Southern California.Walker traveled by foot. He went through Idaho and Nevada. It took him over a month to finish his expedition. He also traveled through parts of Southern California.

Joesph Walker's findings were that he found a trail that went from Utah to the Pacific Ocean in California. He was the first man to see Yosemite National Park. And a pass was named after him in San Joaquin Valley, called "Walkers Pass".

This is a map of Walker's Expeditions.

Some interesitng facts about Walker is that he was a sheriff of Jackson County, Missouri. He was also known as a "Mountain Man" and live in Colorado for many years.
