Pancho Villa

Assassinated in an ambush of his car on July 20, 1923 in Parral, Mexico. President Obregón is believed to be behind the assassination, although there was never any proof.


Villa leaves the Revolution because of differences with Pascual Orozca, Jr., another commander in the Revolution.

Villa officially retires after negotiations with Adolfo de la Huerta, the then-current President of Mexico.

Married María Luz Corral on May 29, 1911.


Villa joins General Huerta to fight in support of President Maduro against Pascual Orozca, Jr. In June, Villa is sentenced to prison by Huerta for stealing a horse. He remains in jail until he escapes in mid December.

Francisco "Pancho" Villa joins the Mexican Revolution as a capitan.

After the United States sided against Villa's newest foe,Venustiano Carranza, Villa leads a raid on Columbus New Mexico on March 9, 1916.
