Ancient Egyptian Fashion!

Jewellery played a big part in the Ancient Egyptian society. Both male and female wore jewellery. the main colours that were worn were black and green to scare away any bad ghosts or demons that might be lurking right behind your chair. . . The egyptian word for collar is 'wesekh' or 'wsekhet' and for necklace 'mankhet'. pierced ears were fashionable for both men and women in the New Kingdom. some fashionable colours were blue, green, black, gold, bronze and orange/red. Make up wasnt just for the good looks; it also was used as a sunscreen, you could also show how wealthy you were by how much make up you put on.
