Pablo Neruda Rubric & Example

I was born with the name Neftalí Ricardo Reyes Basoalto on July 12th,1904 in Chile, South America. I changed it to Pablo Neruda after Czech writer Jan Neruda and Pablo from poet Paul Verlain.

Each area needs to be represented. Include the following information to get a passing grade. -Background Information (life, family, death, etc.) -Notable achievements in life -Names of at least three pieces of work and a copy of a poem or part of a poem- At least three photos/graphics - ALL references listed ( at least one regular book) - One video, audio OR music clip relating to your poet/poems- There needs to be less than 5 grammatical errors in Glog- Asthetically pleasing (the text, pictures and photos need to make sense artistically) - Oral presentation to class

Neruda was highly involved in political activities throughout his life. He was a known communist and supported such activists like Fidel Castro and Che Guevera. He was a Consul General in Mexico, Chilean senator for some years and was nominated for presidency at one point. He died of heart failure on September 23, 1973.
