Fight or Flight

Overcoming Pressure

Eustress is stress that gives a positive respnose and is healthy. Usually, eustress can motivate someone to try harder to achieve their goal. It happens when someone is giving a task that is slightly overwhelming and they have to try harder.

Distress is the opposite of eustress providing a negative respnose. It can be described as having great pain, anxiety, or sorrow. It is usually caused by a state of extreme necessity or misfortune. For example, the teacher gives you a pop quiz you weren't prepared for.

Fight or flight is a physiological reaction that occurs in response to a perceived harmful event, attack, or threat to survival.

1. Running away from house as it is on fire.2. Kid runs across the street and you have to stop the car.3. A tornado happens and you have to run to safety.

If you want to test your memory, try to recall what you were worrying about one year go today.- E Joseph Cossman

In this scene Michael saved S.J's life by blocking him with his arm during a car crash. S.J survived, but had to go to the hospital and was shaken up. Michael was feeling very guilty and he put the blame on himself. Leanne comforted him by telling him that it was not his fault.

This relates to stress because it tells you to use what life gives you and not make problems for yourself. Basicly, don't sweat the small stuff.
