Treatment of osteosarcoma usually requires violent forms of chemotherapy and/or radiation, tumor removal surgery, or amputation of the infected limb. This cancer affects more children and teens than it does adults. out of the estimated 1,490 people that are diagnosed with bone cancer, 28% die from osteosarcoma, and 20% of those people are children under the age of 13.
