The population of Oregon is 3.9 million people. The capital of Oregon is Salem.The average climate of Oregon is low 40's to high 60's and a lot of precipitation. Oregon's economy is largesly based on beef and dairy. They also raise chicken.


Oct. 28th 2014Today I visited Crater Lake located in the southern Oregon Cascades.Crater lake is the deepest lake in the U.S.A.. It was formed when a giant volcano exploded and sunk into the earth. The hole eventually filled with water. The water is so clear that you can see right through it!

Oregons state bird is the Western Meadowlark. The state flower is the Oregon Grape. The state tree is the Douglas Fir. The state fish is the Chinook salmon. The state animal is the american beaver.

The Oregon pioneer a gold statue is one of the places I would love to visit. It stands tall on top of the capital building. At night it radiates out of it's solar floodlights. I represents the spirit of Oregon. It would be amazing to visit.

Dear Mommy,I am visiting the largest city in Oregon Portland. Portland's population is 609,456 people. You can see Mt.Hood the highest point in Oregon from Portland. Portland has it's own Basketball team the Trail Blazers. Beverly Claerly a famous childrens author grew up in Portland. Her most popular character Ramona grew up on Klickitat street a real street in Portland.

I visited the Oregon Trail End in center in Oregon city. You can learn about the pioneers who traveled the Oregon Trail. The pioneeers traveled in wagons. They made homes in Willamette Valley. This would be fun to visit.

Nov. 10th 2014 I am at Mt.Hood the highest piont in Oregon. Mt. Hood is 11,250 feet high! From the top you can see Oregons largest city Portland. Mt. Hood is a volacano that used to be active thousands of years ago. Wish you were here to enjoy the view!

If I wanted a souvenir from Oregon I would want a Portland Trail Blazers Jersey.
