NUTRIENT CYCLE IN THE ECOSYSTEM~

DECOMPOSERS

Decomposers help to release the nutrients back into the environment.Decomposers do notmake their own food.examples of decomposers are : Fungi , bacteria and earthworm .

RECYCLING OF CARBON

the CARBON cycle~Two important roles:ensures that carbon dioxideand other carbon compounds do not move out and arealwaysavailable for living things to usehelps to keep the amount of carbon in the ecosystem constant so that there is neither too much or too little.

RECYCLING OFNITROGEN

the NITROGEN cycle~two important roles:To ensure that the rate of ADDING nitrogen compounds to the soil is equal to the rate of REMOVING them .Keeps the nitrogen compound at a CONSTANT level so that they do not run out .

WHAT ARE DECOMPOSERS ?Organism that feed on dead plants or animals are called decomposers .Decomposers bring about decayed of dead plants and animals into smaller substances . some are eaten while others are returned to the soil or water where they were reused by the plants . carbon dioxide and other gases are also realeased into the air .

CYCLING OF MATERIALS MATTER that makes up animals and plants move in a cycle .a cycle is A SERIES OF CHANGES that lead back to the starting point .

NITROGEN CYCLE when growing crops , natural methods do not always add nitrogen compounds (also called FERTILIZERS)to the soil fast enough . therefore ARTIFICIAL methods are used to creating fertilizers . nitrogen from the air is converted into AMMONIA by a process called the HABER PROCESS .
