What do you think about the Book?

Mark Owen has been through a lot in his 11 years in the military, he's built up some great friendships with the guys, and made some a little worse back home. This book explains the struggle with reataining relationships, and focuses on the training thats built and how that affects him and his buddies.

This is a great book to read, it's not one where you have to follow a story line, you can jump into any chapter and understand what is happening since they are stories of training and firefights along side Mark Owen and his team of Seals. I'd recommend this book to anyone who finds modern military stories like "American Sniper" interesting

Characters:Mark,Scott,Troop Chief,Steve,Walt, and many other un-named characters

Mark also has to put up with keeping things like missions away from his friends, family, and any relationship he's in back in the States. The only people he can talk to about the mission are the ones running or going on it. Which, makes them have a very strong friendship.

Mark Owen was on the mission that killed Osama Bin Laden, his name wasn't supposed to be leaked but it did. No Hero is about the training and fire fights he went through up until that point, and then how it effected him.

From the first day in Seal training you're given a "Swim Buddy", you're supposed to tell them any problems and help each other out. Marks swim buddy was Walt, during one of Marks tours he was given a new guy for just a week until Walt could get out there. This was one of the worst things they could have done for Mark, his new guy wasn't the most likable guy, and had no idea what he was doing. When Walt got back their friendship had gotten much stronger, they realized how much they depended on their Swim Buddy.
