Nikola Tesla

Nikola Tesla is considered one of the greatest thinkers and inventors of all time. When Tesla was young, he worked for Thomas Edison. The both had some great ideas, but they also had some big disagreements. Tesla thought alternating current was the way to go, while Edison thought direct current was better. Lasting Impact

Tesla's research on a death ray was exposed when Tesla himself stated that he designed and tested this new device he had created. Since he hated war, Tesla created a device that could bring down a fleet of 10,000 enemy aircraft from over 250 miles away. The device would do this by sending concentrated beams of particles that had tremendous amounts of energy through the air. He thought if every country had this, war would be impossible because every country could protect themselves.

Nikola Tesla was born on July 10, 1856. He was born in Croatia, just across the Adriatic Sea from Italy. His father, Milutin, was an Orthodox priest at the church. His mother, Đuka Tesla, had never received a full education, but she had the ability to make home craft tools, and memorize epic poems.
