Nicolaus Copernicus

Nicolaus Copernicus was one of the most important astronomers in history. He was born on Febuary 19, 1473 in Torun, Poland. He lived with a family of seven. For his entire life, Copernicus never got married. He attended school at the University of Krakow where he studied math and astronomy. He lived in Torun for 37 years, and then he moved to Frombork in 1510. People thought that the Earth was at the center of the universe, but Copernicus discovered that the planets rotated around the sun.
