Each of these places that I reserched was differnent in its own ways. The Eiffel tower is the most popular landmark in Paris, the capital of France.the Louvre took over 28 years to complete and it could have housed between 5000 to 6000 people. Versailles is one of the 500 formmer places to go. Pont du Gard is an outsatanding quality of the bridges masonry led to it becoming an obligatry stop for French journey men on their traditional tour round the country. Many of them left their names on the stonework. The Millau bridge is in southern France and crosses the river tarn in the Massif Central Mountians. it was designed by the British architect Lord Foster and at 300m it is the highest road bridge in the world. Chenonceau Chateau was built in 1513 by Katherine Briconnet . Something that I had found intresting about this wonder was that everything done to make it was done by women. Mont-St-Michel is the most visited tourist attraction in France over 1 milliion people come to see it. The oldest part of Chartres Cathedral is the crypt and the west portal, or Royal Portal. The Cambord Chateau is surrounded by Europes largest enclosed forest park. The Reims Cathedral is the seat of the archdiocese of Riems, where the kings of France were crowned, it was destroyed by a fire in 1211.
