With 28 years I worked in the photographic shop of my father when he died. In 1892 I began to create moving pictures with my brother Auguste. Also I film the first films.

I moved to Lyon in 1870 and there I studied in the technical school of Lyon. With 16 years I work in the photographic firm of my father with my brother Auguste.
