Why is information and communication technology (ICT) important with in the curriculum? PRACTICE DESCRIBED: Why is information and communication technology important with in the classrooms?PRACTICE EXPLAINED: Worldwide research has shown tht ICT can lead to improved students learning and better teaching methods. A report made by the National Institute of Multimedia Education in Japan, proved that an increase in student exposure to educational ICT through curriculum integration has a significant and positive impact on student achievement, especially in terms of "Knowledge, Comprehension, Practical skill, in subject areas such as mathematics, science, and social study.PRACTICE THEORIZED: After considering my research I now have a deeper understanding of the benefits of ICT and the positive outcomes it has on the students learning. PRACTICE CHANGED: In futhur I will support ICT with in the classroom and ensure that every student is exposed to ICT. I will teach the students how to use ICT effectively with in the curriculum areas they are learning.
