Neil Degrasse Tyson was born in Bronx, New York. He was given his first pair of binoculars by a friend. He was fascinated by the stars and that he can see holes in the craters. From a young age he knew he wanted to be an Astrophysicist. He went to Harvard University to study physics and learn about the stars and planets. After college, he became a researcher at the Planetarium to study how stars were formed. Since then Neil Degrasse Tyson became very succesful, he wrote many books about Astrology and hosted a science TV show called "Science Now" on PBS.

Lasting Impact
Neil Tyson was the director of The Hayden Planetarium. He was the scientist who said Pluto should come off the display of planets. Neil Tyson served as a presidential advisor in 2001 for President George W. Bush.
