A network of sites anchored at colleges and universities and serving teachers across all disciplines and all levels.We provide professional development, develop resources, generate research, and act on knowledge to improve the teaching of writing and learning in schools and communities.

- Began in 1974 in the Graduate Schoolf of Education at the University of California, Berkeley.- the NWP comprises nearly 200 sites in all 50 cities.- Judith Warren Little, Chair; Tom Meyer, Associate Director of Secondary Education
