Napoleon Bonaparte

I was born August 15th 1769 in Ajaccio, Corsica. I was the fourth child for my parents Carlo Maria di Buonaparte and Maria Letizia Ramolino. In 1779 I was enrolled in a religous school. Later, I was accepted into a military school at Brienne-le-Château. Altough I was teased throughout school for not being able to speak fluent french, I graduated and was accepted into the elite École Militaire in Paris. I began to train as an artillery officer. I completed the two year course in one year and was then commissioned as a second lieutenant in La Fère artillery regiment. This was just the beginning of my great reign as Emperor.

- At the age of 14 I won a scholarship to a French Military Academy- I helped to arrange the French people into a well functioning government and system after the chaos of the French Revolution- I rearraged the laws and codes and created the Napoleonic Code- I was able to inspire and organize thoudsands of soldiers to fight and win battles for many years- I possesed the skill to motivate people and organize massive battles- I started nationalism (which may or may not have been a good choice)

Lasting Impact

-I created the Napoleonic Code that created the structure of the French Civil Law.-I took over a lot of land including the Holy Roman Empire, creating new countries such as Holland and Westphalia.

Defeats

I was defeated on Sunday, 18 June 1815 during the Battle of Waterloo. My Grand Armee was defeated by the armies of the Seventh Coalition, led by the Duke of Wellington. After the defeat, I attenpted to flee, but was persuaded to surrender. I was then exiled to Saint Helena.
