Mesopotamia Lexi Budge

Clothing was an important part of the Mesopotamian culture. Older woman wore dresses or skirts but, younger woman prefered T-shirts, pants, and shorts. Another part of their culture was their language. The Meosopotamians official language was Hayeren. It had 38 characters and was created by a monk named Mesrop Mashtots in 405 BC. They used this new language to decipher the Bible. They traditionally ate leeks, lemons, Chick peas, barley, and so on.

The creation myth was about Marduk. After Marduk had killed Tiamat, Marduk spit her in half. Then Marduk made her top of the body the sky. He made her other half earth. This is how the Mesopotamians thought the earth was created.
