Protein is benifical in many ways. It helps with bone growth, and helps build mucles cartilage skin and blood health. Vitamins and minerals are not as important (not that they aren't) but are needed less than protein. They are specified as micronutriens, but don't assume that you can eat all the protein you want and no vitamins and minerals.
To stay healthy you need protein, you can get it from many food in your fridge and in your pantry. This includes, but is not limited to meat, cheese, tofu, beans, lentils, yougurt, nuts, and seeds. A very good way to get protein is by eating greek yougurt. If you eat 8 grams of protein a day you are meating all the daily need for protien.
Hemoglobin is a red protein that transports oxygen to the body's organs and tissues, and carries carbon dioxide back into your lungs to be exhaled.
