Jazz MusicWhen Jazz was first introduced, it was called "the devil's music". It originated in New Orleans in the 1920's. There were many debates between Jazz supporters and critics.

Blues MusicBlues gained popularity in the 1930's. It stemmed from the Southern Plantations in the 19th century.

Broadway!In the 1920's, Broadway was in its prime. Over 50 new musicals debuted per season. People would pay up to $3.50 for a seat which is equivalent to about $100 now. In 1927, over 250 shows played on Broadway, and they were attended by about 20 million people.
