Muscular System
There are two types of muscle action, involuntary muscles and voluntary muscles. Involuntary muscles are muscles that are responsible for actions like breathing and digesting food. Voluntary muscles are under your control such as walking and talking.
Muscle Action
They are attached to the bones of your skeleton. At the end of the muscle is always a tendon. This is what attaches the bones to the muscles. These are voluntary muscles. This means that they react quickly and tire quickly.
Skeletal Muscles
Smooth Muscles are in the organs and walls of blood vessels. They are involuntary. They react slower and tire slower that skeletal muscles.
Smooth Muscles
Cardiac muscles are involuntary and striated. They also never get tired. They have contractions called heartbeats.

The Different Muscles!
Some muscular diseases are: •Muscular dystrophy: A hereditary condition marked by progressive weakening and wasting of the muscles•Myopathy: A disease of muscle tissue•Sprain: Wrench or twist the ligaments of violently so as to cause pain and swelling but not dislocation.
Diseases
In 565-million-year-old rocks are now the first evidence that some of Earth's earliest and mysterious living things had muscles. That means muscles may have evolved earlier and been part of a long evolutionary process that led to the Cambrian Explosion. 30 million years later, of the many lineages of marine animals still have been found in the oceans today. For more info see this link.
