About me
Appypie - https://www.appypie.com/Appy pie allows one to build an app without having to write code. The app is very user-friendly and there are video tutorials available. This app seems to be more of an app geared toward providing information about an organization. You can publish with no cost, but to make it available to Android and Apple there is a monthly fee. The biggest challenge I see in using this creation program is the cost at getting it into the app store on the various devices.
MIT App Inventor - http://appinventor.mit.edu/explore/#For this app you also do not need to be able to write code. However, there is a lot to learn and explore when using MIT App Inventor. They do have a few nice tutorials. This app has ability to make a game or make using it more interactive. If a teacher did endeavor to use this app it does take a lot of learning and experimenting. However the benefit is you can work on the app on a desktop PC and see the app progress on your smart device in real time. It is also completely free All a person needs is a Google Account to sign up. It would take a lot of time, work, and energy, but this app has a lot of potential. I am going to try having my students use it to create some apps and then they can teach me some of the tricks to make using it easier!
iBuild App - https://ibuildapp.com/This app was also very easy to use. It had templates and designs all set up for the user and was not difficult to navigate and add features or content. The biggest negative with this app builder was in order to publish you do have to pay. There is no free option. In my opinion, the best feature of this app design software was the variety of templates they had available and examples laid out there for the user. I am a very visual learner and I appreciate examples of how something could look to help me in the process. The biggest challenge in most all these apps is just deciding what your goal is ahead of time and putting the time, energy, and possibly money into building what you want.
