Mudslides

Mudslides By Josh and Moshe

Mudslides are normally created by heavy rains.

Mudslides are rivers of rock, earth and other debris mixed with water and mud.

Mudslides can be fast or slow moving. They usually grow as they move because they pick up rocks, cars and other debris lying around.

Mudslides can happen at any time of the year.

A lot of mudslides happen in California

Wildfires can lead to mudslides because they can burn the plants roots . Roots hold the soil together stabalizing the land and making it less likely to be swept away.

Mudslides cause 25 to 50 deaths a year.
