Mrs. Frisby & the Rats of Nimh

by: Robert C. O'Brien

This is like the air duct Justin found at NIMH. Justin and Nicodemus led the other 18 rats and 2 mice out NIMH through air ducts. Thankfully, Mr. Ages and Jonathan Frisby removed the covering at the end of the tunnel and they were finally free!

This is a fantasy story of a mouse named Mrs. Frisby who lives on Mr. Fitzgibbon's farm. The setting is early spring on the farm. She and her family must move to their summer home to escape the dreaded plow, but her little son Timothy is sick with pneumonia and can't make the move while he's so weak.Mrs. Frisby meets some friends who save the day! Jeremy the crow, The Owl, and especially The Rats of Nimh. They have an amazing story of their own! They were captured by scientists and kept at a laboratory where they got injections to become smarter, double their life span and stop aging! This book will keep your on the edge of your seat as you read to find out if Mrs. Frisby's family will be able to move in time to escape the plow. She meets some very interesting friends who will help her along the way. Will Timothy make it or will they be too late?

Problem: Mrs. Frisby and her family need to move to escape the plow, but her son Timothy is too sick to move.Climax: Mrs. Frisby gets caught by Billy and put in a birdcage. Solution: The Rats help Mrs. Frisby escape and then move her home.

Mrs. Frisby rides on Jeremy's back.

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”Joshua 1:9
