Mother Teresa 1910 - 1997

Early Life

Mother Teresa was born on August 26,1910, in Skopje. She was baptized as Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu. Her parents are Albanian descent. Her father was an entrepreneur. They were a devoutly Cathdic family. In 1919, her father suddenly fell ill and died when she was only 8 years old.

She went to the Loreto Abbey in Irland to learn English. She learnt Bengali and taught at the St.Teresa's School in Darjeeing during 1929.

Blessed Teresa of Calcutta, MC, commonly known as Mother Teresa (26 August 1910 – 5 September 1997), was a Roman Catholic religious sister and missionary.
