How She Worked for Justice1. She was a Roman Catholic sister and missionary who lived most of her life in India serving the poor. 2. In 1946 she experienced a "call within a call" to devote her life to God and helping others.3. Her order established centers for blind, elderly, and disabled; and also a mistreated leper colony.4. Her calling was to help the sick and the poor, so shewent to Georgetown, Harvard, and Thomas Aquinas College to speak to students to get them involved. 5. Ten years went by after 1950, and Pope Paul VI encouraged Mother Teresa to start working in Venezuela and other countries, because her impact in India was so tremendous. 6. Her strict position on abortion led her to receive a reputation for her uncompromising approaches to life and world issues.7. She was known for her caring attitude, but critized nations, especially the United States for liberal abortions.8. Even after she died, Mother Teresa left an impact on missionaries and people abroad because of her undying love for humanity.9. Mother Teresa impacted people and called them to get out and help, even after she died.10. Her goal in life was to bless the unfortunate, poor, malnourished, and mistreated.

“Catholic social teaching believes that human beings, created in the image and likeness of God (Genesis 1:26-27), have by their very existence an inherent value, worth, and distinction”. Daniel Groody “Globalization, Spirituality and Justice”
