Mother Teresa

Mother Teresa died Septemer 5th, 1997 in Kolkata, India. The cause was cardiac arrest, though she had been in bad heath for a period of time, She kept up her work untill the very end, not letting her health get in the way of her mission.

Mother Teresa

Mother Teresa was born August 26th; in Skopje, Republic of Macedonia. She never married because she became a daughter of christ. Mother Teresa got her education at Loreto Abbey, Rathfarnham; from 1928-1929.

Conventional wisdom at the time of Mother Teresa was the poor and sickly were being overlooked, and not many were going out of their way to help them. Mother Teresa made a new assertion that God loved all, rich or poor. She started to create foundations to help the hungry, visit the sick, and pray with the dying. Her ideals were to reach out to the "poorest of the poor". This new assersion was greeted by open arms. People saw Mother Teresa as one step away from a saint, and manu suppoorted her. In 1979, she was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.

Mother Teresa significantly changed our world. Countless less fortunate peoples lives have been altered for the better. She is also an insparation for people around the world. During almost all of her acts of kindness, she was struggling with her faith. But in the end, she was able to find balance between her beliefs and dreams. I personally agree with her ideas. Helping the poor and sickly brings people closer together, and that helps for less conflict.

There are a couple things that Hugo and Mother Teresa had in common. Hugo wanted to save and preserve lives. Mother Teresa devoted her life to feeding the poor and helping the sick, both saved lives. They both worked toward peace, and both left a lasting impact on our lives today. They do have differences though. Mother Teresa's new assersion was supported by the public immediately, everyone loved her actions. Hugo Grotius on the other hand got tossed in jail, persecuted, and despised for his new ideas.
