Mosquito Breeding Places

Mosquitos breed in stagnant water

Mosquitoes do not need a lot of water to breed! They can even breed in the small amount of water collected on the rim of over-turned pails! They only need about one cap full of water to breed!

Mosquitos can breed in stagnant water in ponds! it is important to keep the water moving and keep live fish in the pond. The fish will eat the mosquito larva and prevent them from breeding!

Be sure to overturn anything that can contain stagnant water, like pails, containers and wheelbarrows! You can also use oil or insecticide to prevent them from breeding!
