Mormah Prophets

Prophet name: EzekielA brief introduction about who they were and where they came from (background)? Ezekiel was born around the exile and return and was a chosen prophet by god and was already a priest at the time and was from Chebar River in Babylonia. What did God ask them to do (prophecy)? God wanted people to renew their hearts and spirits. I taught that each person is responsible for his or her own sins. I also had hopes that the kingdom of Judah might renew itself and follow god faithfully once again. Summarise the story of this prophet. Ezekiel has just been told he is a prophet. He was told to eat a scroll and he has been told to deliver a message to the people of Israel by God. Why would this have been difficult at the time? It would have been difficult at this time because a lot of people did not have respect for god and would not listen to you when you went to Israel.

Prophet name: Isaiah-6, 59A brief introduction about who they were and where they came from (background)? Isaiah was a prophet who delivered messages for god and was originally from Israel. What did God ask them to do (prophecy)? He told Isaiah to deliver this message. No matter how much you listen, you will not understand. No matter how much you look, you will not know what is happening. Then he said to Isaiah. Make the minds of these people dull, their ears deaf, and their eyes blind, so that they cannot see or hear or understand. If they did, they might turn to me and be healed. Summarise the story of this prophet. I summarise the story of this prophet as that the people of Israel were being very sinful and were worshipping foreign gods. So god told Isaiah to deliver a message to the Israel people which was, No matter how much you listen, you will not understand. No matter how much you look, you will not know what is happening. Then he said to Isaiah. Make the minds of these people dull, their ears deaf, and their eyes blind, so that they cannot see or hear or understand. If they did, they might turn to me and be healed. Why would this have been difficult at the time? This would have been difficult at this time because a lot of people were unfaithful to god and would not listen to prophets when they tried to tell them something. Sometimes they would also get killed after the delivered themessage.

Prophet name: AmosA brief introduction about who they were and where they came from (background)? Amos was originally a shepherd and a tree trimmer and lived in Tekoa in Judah. What did God ask them to do (prophecy)? The message he had to deliver was Israel and its rulers and its people had gotten fat and lazy. They abused the poor and completely forgot their obligation to serve the less fortunate. They would be destroyed for this. Summarise the story of this prophet. The story of this prophet Amos was forced to leave his village because of the stuff he was saying and he was told to deliver the message from god to the people of Israel and its leaders. Why would this have been difficult at the time? It would have been hard at this time because a lot of people were worshiping foreign gods and did not take any notice to the prophet or prophecy.

Prophet name: HoseaA brief introduction about who they were and where they came from (background)? Hosea was originally from Israel but travelled to deliver messages. What did God ask them to do (prophecy)? Hosea passed the message Marriage was a public symbol of the relationship between god and his people. God committed himself to us. We were his people. However we were not faithful to God. We turned away from him time and time again. Summarise the story of this prophet. I summarise this story as that Hosea wife was a prostitute and Hosea wanted to leave her but God told him to stay with her. Why would this have been difficult at the time? It would have been difficult at this time because Hosea would have wanted to leave her because of how unfaithful and bad she was but God ordered him to stay with her.
