REAL-LIFE HEROES

SUPER HEROES

According to Harper Lee and her characters, a hero is someone who respects, who cares about others without getting anything back, the one who reaches their goals, the one who is constant in his decisions in life, the one who accepts his own errors, the one that is responsible, honest, brave, courageous, tolerant, altruistic, aware, and most importantly, the one who outstands from the others and is strong and honest in every situation. The different heroes that she showed in this novel are real-life heroes, heroes that appear in our daily life and always have something to improve. “You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view- until you climb into his skin and walk around it”. (Pg. 30)- Atticus FinchAtticus is trying to explain Scout that you never judge people without being in their own shoes. Here it´s shown a heroic act because Atticus teaches his kids to be respectful with other people. “She´s an old lady she´s ill. You just hold your head high and be a gentleman. Whatever she says to you, it´s your job not to let her make you mad”. (Pg. 100)-Atticus FinchThis quote shows that Atticus teaches Jem how to be a gentlemen with every person, specially with Ms. Dubose, an old and sick woman.
