Bottleneck Effect:Occurs when a populations size is reduced for at least one generation undergoinga bottle neck can reduce a populations genetic variation by a lot

Gene Pool:The stock of different genes in an inter breeding population.

Genetic Drift:Varation in the relative frequency of different genotypes in a small population by the chance of disappearance of particular genes as individuals die or do not reproduce

Behavioral Isolation:a reproductive barrier based on the form of mating calls or dances that stops the possibility of mating.

Non-random mating:If a doe mates with the stronger of the two males fighting over her then the offspring will be strongers as well, which is why they fight, to show which is stronger and which will have healthier offspring.

Mutation:mutation introduces new alleles into populations.

Genetic Drift:When the frequency of an allele changews over generations due to random chance. Therefore changing the gene frequency.

Natural Selection:Removes alleles that negativley affect the population. Like the darker bird living in the darker trees apposed to a light bird living in the same enviornment, the lighter will be more visible to predators and die first.

Allopatric speciation: occurs when biological population of the same species become isolated from eachother to the point that it interferes with genetic interchange.

Gene flow:Transfer of alleles from one populations to antoher like in the picture, one of the blue birds migrate to the population of red birds which have less of the dominant alleles. Through mating with a red bird it incorperates different alleles.

Sympatric Speciation:How species evolve from a single ancestial species while inhabiting the same geographic region.

Temporal Isolation:A reproductive barrier that is based on the time that organisms mate. Like birds that could mate would not because one mates in the spring and one mates in the summer.

Hybridization:the process of combining two complementary single-stranded DNA or RNA molecules and allowing them to form a single double-stranded molecule through base pairing.

Geographical Isolation:The seperation of two populations of the same species or breeding group by a physical barrier, like a mountian or a body of water.
