Mexican Beaded Lizard

Location: The animals are found in the thorn scrub and deciduous forest of the western coast of Mexico and northern Guatemala. Mexican beaded lizards make their homes in abandoned mammal burrows, under rocks, or in tunnels they have dug.

Climate: Beaded lizards spend as much as 98% of their lives underground but when they come out the whether us usually some where in the 60s or 70s

Size:Females size is 30in and 3 to 5 lbs. Males size is 36in and five to six pounds. large males can reach 40in and 10 lbs.

Diet: These carnivores eat eggs, young birds, insects, lizards, snakes and rodents.Beaded lizards play a crucial role in the desert

Wild Facts: Watch out the Mexican Beaded Lizard is one of only two venomous lizards in the world. They In spite of their size the Beaded Lizard is a very good climber.spend a great deal of time in the trees.

Threats: The Mexican Beaded Lizard is like a lion but is the king of the desert so it doesn`t have alot of threats
