Meriwether Lewis

I was born on August 18, 1774 near Ivy,.Virginia. As a child I loved to explore and be outdoors. I served in the milita during the Wiskey Rebellion.I became Thomas Jefferson's Private Secertary. On 1804 I asked William Clark to assist me on leading the Corps of Discovery.

Accomplishments

1774-I was Born1794- I served in milita during whiskey rebellion 1804- I went out on expedition1806-I came back from expedition1809-I was found dead

After I did the Expedition I was made govener of Lousina. I claimed land and moved the US west.,I made peace and traded with the Native Americans.

Lasting Impact

Meriwether Lewis did many great things likehelp the US move west.They also got plants and animals from the west.
