Reason for chosing this careerI chose this career because one of my favorite t.v. shows, “Rizzoli and Isles”, features a medical examiner. I was interested to learn more about what it would really be like to be a medical examiner.

Did you know that medical examiners can also be called forensic pathologists or coroners
Primary Duties Medical examiners work at crime scenes, in the lab, and in court. At crime scenes medical examiners are called to examine and document injuries, determine identity,collect remains, and transport bodies. In the lab medical examiners perform autopsies, determine identity, examine and document injuries, collect trace evidence, determine manner of death, interpret toxicological evidence. In court medical examiners may be called to testify.
