These days measles is most common in Europe, Asia, and Africa. Almost all cases in America are brought back by American tourists who were not vaccinated.

SymtomsThe symtoms of measles are:~An extreamly high fever~Coughing~Runny nose~Red eyes~A red spotted rash starting at the head, spreading. May Get:~Diarrhea~An ear infectionDangers:~Pneumonia (lung infection) ~Damage to brain and hearing~Death(Rash lasts up to a week and the cough 10 days)

The MMR vaccine is a combination of three different vaccines: Measles, mumps, and rubella. Children are given two doses. the first between the ages of 12 and 15 months. The second btween ages 4 and 6 years old. 95 children out of 100 when given both shots are protected.
