One way you can prevent getting the measles is getting a MMR vaccine that they give to 12-13 month olds.this vaccine is also given to the same children later on betwee the ages 3-5 and are givem 2 doeses of the vaccine.You can also avoid getting the measles by avoiding contact with anyone who has or may have the measles.

Measles signs and symptoms appear 10-14 days after the exposure to the virus. The symptoms of measles are fever, dry cough, runny nose, sore throat, inflamed eyes, and red spots.

You get the measles person to person. Measles are highly contguous and can spread though infected mucus or saliva. The coughing and sneezing of a person can release the virus into the air.

Measles scientific name Rubeola has a lytic life cycle. Measles is a very contiguous virus and can be spread very quickly.
