Madame C.J. Walker was the first female African-American millionaire! She invented new hair products and used her money to help other African-Americans succeed.
Her real name was Sarah Breedlove.She was born on a plantation in Louisiana in 1867, just two years after the end of slavery.She became an orphan when she was 7, so she had to work really hard to accomplish big things!
