Left: The road to Hana is about the journey, not the destination. The most celebrate road in all of the state, a wiggle of a road that runs along Maui's northeastern shore. The 42 mile drive consists of beautiful waterfalls, 54 bridges, and 600 hairpin turns.

Maui is the second-largest of the Hawaiian islands and the 17th largest island in the United States. There are nearly 150,000 people who populate the island, which is the third-largest island population in comparison to other Hawaiian islands.

There are several beautiful places to visit on Maui. In fact Maui, for 8 years in a row was names "No Ka Oi" meaning "the best" for its beaches, sunsets, and breath-taking views. Below: Haleakala crater (house of the rising sun) is one of two Maui volcanoes and sits about 10,ooo ft. above sea level. It is currently most known for it's cold, priceless sun rises and long distance hikes. The volcanoe is dormant and is expected errupt in the near future.
