Vocabulary WordsTerms: is either a single number or a variable , or numbers and variables multiplied together.Coefficient: is a number that is muliplied to a variable.Variable: a letter that represents an unknown amount;a value that can change or vary. Constant: a term with a fixed value; a number that does not change.
Expression: A mathematical phrase written with numbers and variables connected by operations.Equations: A mathemathical sentence that decleares an equal relationship between two expressions using the smybol:=.Exponents: A quantity representing the power to which a given number or expression is to be raised.

UnLike ' Like TermsUnLike terms: cannot be added or subtracted the way like terms are added or subtracted. Like terms: are terms that contain the same letter variables which are raised to the exact same power.
