Interesting Facts- Lived 1797 - 1851- Daughter of Mary Wollenstonecraft and William Godwin, both were authors- Mother died soon after delivering Mary- At age 17, Mary ran off with Percy Shelley, a married man- Gave birth to daughter who died a few days later- Percy's preganant wife commits suicide in 1816- Mary gives birth to a son and names him Percy. He is the only one of her children to live to adulthood.- Two children die: William age 3, Clara age 1- Writes the novel Frankenstein at age 19- Husband, Percy, dies in 1822 while boating
