Martin Luther was born on November 10th 1483, In the state of Saxony in Germany.His parents always wanted him to become a lawyer, So he studied in the University of Erfurt and obtained a Master of Arts degree in 1505. However later in July, he got caught in a thunder storm and he said to St.annes '' Save me and I will become a monk". In the year of 1507 martin luther was ordained a priest. The decision greatly disappointed his parents but he felt he must keep a promise. He thought that a life in a monastery will be good.In 1511 Luther moved to Wittenburg to earn his Doctorate of Theology. Later he became a professor of biblical theology at the University of Wittenburg. In 1514, Martin began to serve as a priest inWittenburg castle church.During this time Luther learned of the Catholic Church's unbiblical practice of selling indulgences. The Pope, sold religious merits in exchange for building funds. In 1517 Luther nailed his famous 95-Theses to the the Castle Church door. In seeing this, the pope officialy excommunicated Luther. Martin luther hid in with his friends for about an year. He died on his last journey to Eisleben. He was later buried infront of the castle church.

Martin Luther had many accomplishments some of which were him recieving his master of arts degree in the year 1505. He entered the Augustinian monastery and was ordained a priest.

Lasting Impact

Matin Luther had fixed up the churches and got them back how they should be.
